1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

The Mr Humble Meme Factory does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the core tool. The only information we collect from you directly is what you choose to give us:

• Meme submissions: If you voluntarily submit a meme to the community gallery, we store the meme image and the text you entered. No account is required. If you optionally opt in to let Mr Humble tag you if your meme is shared, we also store the social platform and username handle you provided. Providing a handle is strictly optional, opt-in only, and never used for marketing, DMs, or mailing lists.
• Feedback poll responses: If you vote in the community poll on the homepage, we store your selected option. No identifying information is attached to your vote.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we collect standard technical data automatically through analytics tools, including:

• Pages visited and time spent on the Site
• General geographic region (country or city level — not precise location)
• Device type, operating system, and browser
• Referring URL (how you found us)

This data is aggregated and anonymized. It cannot be used to identify you individually and is used solely to understand how people use the Site so we can improve it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes only:

• To operate the Site: Display community-submitted memes in the gallery and show poll results.
• Creator crediting: If you explicitly grant tagging permission and provide a social handle with your submission, Mr Humble may optionally tag or credit you if your meme is chosen to be shared on Mr Humble’s social media channels.
• To improve the Site: Understand which features are used most, where users drop off, and what templates are most popular — using aggregated, anonymized analytics data only.
• To moderate content: Review community submissions to ensure they comply with our Terms of Use.

3. Analytics and Third-Party Services

We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymized usage data. Firebase Analytics may use cookies or similar tracking technologies. You can learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com.

Meme images and community submissions are stored using Firebase Storage and Cloud Firestore, both Google Cloud services. Data is stored securely and not shared with third parties.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your information with any third parties for commercial, advertising, or data-brokering purposes. Full stop.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising. The only third-party services we use are infrastructure tools (Firebase/Google Cloud) necessary to operate the Site.

5. Data Retention

Community-submitted memes are retained indefinitely for display in the gallery unless you request removal or we remove them during moderation. Aggregated analytics data is retained according to the default retention settings of Firebase Analytics.

6. Cookies

The Site may use browser cookies or local storage to remember basic preferences (such as whether you’ve already voted in the community poll). These are functional cookies only — not tracking cookies used for advertising.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Use the Site at your own discretion.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, please contact us and we will delete the information promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
